Shenseea wins 2021 mobo

Riding high from being a multiple Grammy nominee, dancehall diva Shenseea continues to set trends. Since the MOBO inception in 1996, the ShenYeng Boss is the first female artist to capture the title of “Best Reggae Act” in the history of the Awards. The other nominees were Skillibeng, Lila Iké, Spice, Popcaan and Sean Paul. Both Spice and Sean Paul are nominees for the 2022 Grammy Awards. 

The MOBO award was created by Kanya King to celebrate the achievements of entertainers who created music of Black origin in the UK. Having a diverse cultural influence, the extravagant venture has quickly grown to become one of Europe’s biggest music award ceremonies. For more than 20 years, MOBO has honored the artistic and technical achievements of exceptional British and international talents in Afrobeats, Hip Hop, Reggae, Grime, R&B and Soul, Jazz and Gospel.
