Festival Song Competition 2022 In Full Effect

After an earlier disappointed announcement from the JCDC committee, the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport has decided to go ahead with the 2022 staging of the Jamaica 60 Festival Song Competition. Minister Olivia Grange reported that she has been working with top producers, performers and songwriters to provide songs of quality and substance. This year will see 10 finalists vying for the national title at the finals of the competition on July 28.

Members of the music fraternity and Diaspora were taken aback after the earlier cancellation of the event due to unsatisfactory entries. Minister Grange also noted that in addition to the competition there will be a Jamaica 60th commemorative album, which will feature artists such as Shaggy, Freddie McGregor, Koffee and Marcia Griffiths amongst others. Below is a list of the 10 finalists in which the top winners will be decided by audience votes.

Bring back the love – Stamp
