SEAN PAUL & Ziggy Marley Performs at NY Thanksgiving Parade
November 24, 2022
Reggae Grammy Award artists Ziggy Marley and Sean Paul brought a special touch to the 96th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York. The event has been a staple in New York since 1924; Paul made his debut as the first Dancehall artist to perform at the event while Ziggy enjoyed his second appearance. Thousands lined the streets of Manhattan cladded in warm outfits to enjoy a diversity of costumes and floats from various brands.
Both Ziggy and Sean gave the crowd an unforgettable but quick performance. Marley was assisted by his three sons on the “Underwater Seascape” float from Nickelodeon and Pinkfong’s Baby Shark. They performed “Music Is Everything” from the More Family Time album. He previously made an appearance with his family at 83rd Macy’s Parade in 2009. Paul on the other hand, performed his 16-year-old classic “Temperature”, the # 1 song on the US Billboard Hot 100 in April 2006. He was on the “Colossal Wave of Wonder” float from Kalahari Resorts and Conventions.
Paul recently earned his 10th Grammy nomination with “Scorcha” after it was announced on November 15, 2022. This is Sean Paul second nomination for Best Reggae Album in two years; His “Live N Livin” album was in the running last year.
