About Me
Meet Donovan Longmore
The History
— How it all began
Donovan Longmore is an avid entrepreneur with over 35 years of leadership experience in the entertainment, finance and healthcare industries. Born and raised in Montego Bay, Jamaica, and migrated to the U.S. in early 1980. He carried with him a dream and vision of making Jamaica a better place for all and has a passion for making a positive impact in his community.
My Mission
Utilizing the concept of “Made in Jamaica”, the idea is to market community businesses and services from Jamaica on a worldwide level. This will in turn help stabilize the economy by providing jobs and help improve the overall living conditions in the country
My Education
While studying Accounting at Central Connecticut State University, he noted the limited access and scarcity of Caribbean music on national and local radio stations, which inspired him to become an on air radio personality on WFCS in 1988. The opportunities enabled him to host, market, and promote concerts, fashion shows, forums and programs throughout the US and the Caribbean. His passion and devotion to help others in the Caribbean Diaspora has inspired him to be an active advocate for numerous causes in the West Indian Spectrum. Mr. Longmore decided to put forth his GOD given talent to help bring changes in his community. He is the representative for the state of Connecticut Northeast region of the Global Jamaica Diaspora Council and serves on several task forces (Crime Prevention, Agriculture, Child Development, Churches, Scouting and United Way). He is the VP of Marketing and Public Relations of Community Tourism in Jamaica
