SHENSEEA Puts Out Debut Album

Global dancehall artist Shenseea has released her debut album, “Alpha” (Rich Immigrants/Interscope Records). The well anticipated album is a mixture anchored in dancehall, reggae and hip hop, which showcased the Jamaican artist’s songwriting abilities in melodies and verses.

Her freshman project features production from Rvssian, Scott Storch, and London On Da Track. The album opens with the sultry collaboration with Tyga entitled “Target”, another collaborative effort from the duo. Known as the “Jamaican Dolly”, she is a fearless advocate for female empowerment and equal rights, which is evident on “Deserve It” and “Lick”. The sex goddess adds more fuel to ignite the heat on “Henkel Glue” with dancehall legend Beenie Man. A natural crooner in her own rights, one can enjoy the versatility and soulful spirit of the “blessed” singer. Anthems like “Body Count” and “Sun Comes Up,” highlights Shenseea’s vocal prowess. Rounding out the project are special guest features from Megan Thee Stallion, 21 Savage, Offset and mega star Sean Paul.

A force to be reckoned with amongst her peers, Shenseea has had an incredible run up to the release of the new album. She was tapped by Kanye (YE) West to add her rap and vocal skills to two different songs on the Grammy nominated “Donda” album. Dubbed as one of the most talented freestyle lyricist in the industry, she debuted at her first U.S. festivals with Rolling Loud in Miami and New York. Shenseea stayed busy and loyal to Romeich Entertainment while putting the finishing touches on her new project. Her days are challenging as she attends to her son and captivates the millions of supporters on various media platforms. She was a favorite on Funk Master Flex and the Breakfast club morning shows.

Over the years, Shenseea has ascended through Jamaica’s dancehall ranks to become one of the genre’s most sought after artists. Her claim to fame started with her viral single “Loodi” with “Gaza World Boss” Vybez Kartel and doing a European world tour with dancehall superstar Sean Paul. In 2019, the independent girl signed with Interscope Records (under Rich Immigrants Records) and released her first label single, “Blessed,” featuring Tyga. She’s one of the most streamed artists on every music and social media outlets. As her popularity grows, so does her marketing ability and tours.
